İFAS ENERJİ · Industrial BESS Integration

BESS integration starts with an operating requirement.

Prepare a battery storage brief that distinguishes power, energy, backup and operating strategy.

01

Choose the primary service

State whether the priority is backup, increased solar self-consumption, peak management or another defined function. These services can compete for the same capacity. For example, retaining energy for an outage can reduce what is available for daily cycling. Rank the objectives before asking for a battery size.

02

Provide demand at useful resolution

Annual consumption cannot describe a short demand peak or a critical-load starting requirement. Supply interval data where available and a separate critical-load list. Define the desired backup duration, acceptable interruption and equipment that can be disconnected. Keep measured demand separate from future-load assumptions.

03

Review the system interfaces

Record the existing solar installation, inverter models, electrical drawings and control interfaces. Ask the engineering team to define the integration boundary, communications and operating modes. The presence of an existing PV system does not by itself establish that a battery can be retrofitted without other changes.

04

Include the operating environment

The brief should describe available space, access, ambient conditions and site safety constraints. Qualified specialists must review installation suitability and the applicable requirements. Compare usable capacity, operating limits, warranty conditions, maintenance responsibilities and control strategy together; a nameplate kWh figure is not a complete offer.
